The Ferris wheel at the Central States Fair was free today for folks to view the eclipse.

Families were waiting in line when the fair grounds opened at 11 a.m., where they were handing out eclipse glasses.

Parents and their kids made their way to the ride and found the Ferris wheel a fun way to view this exciting event.

"We will be higher up and since it’s a once in a lifetime thing, it will just be a fun thing to do as a family," said members of the Davis family.

"It's just a neat way to see it. So we are going to ride it and get off and ride it again," said the girls of the Prudich family.

"It's an awesome view, Like the only time we get to see the day time turn into night time," said Daniella Moctzuma.
