Douglas senior wins Rising Star scholarship contest

We started back in February with 20 contestants.

The first round cut that down to four finalists.

They'll be splitting up $7,500 in scholarships from Black Hills FOX and Granite Automotive.

We took your scores that you gave online and combined that with the scores of our Black Hills FOX panel, and that's how we came up with our winners.

Congratulations to Douglas High School senior Ireland Larsen. Larsen is this year's winner and comes away with a $4,000 scholarship.

Central High School senior Abbi Baker finished second and wins a $2,000 scholarship.

St. Thomas More High School senior Aislinn Duffy finished third this year and wins a $1,000 scholarship.

Red Cloud High School junior Dorian Sage is this year's fourth place finisher and gets a $500 scholarship.
