Chasity Maynard

Chasity Maynard is a Digital Content Manager and Investigative Projects Lead at WCTV.

She graduated with a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Florida in 2022 and has a history in print journalism. Before joining WCTV, Chasity worked in esteemed newsrooms including the Tallahassee Democrat, the Orlando Sentinel, The Gainesville Sun and WUFT News. Chasity joined WCTV as a digital content producer in February 2023 before moving into a leadership role in November.

Chasity is a leader and innovator in visual and multimedia storytelling, receiving top honors across the state of Florida and the country. She was a finalist in the Hearst Photojournalism Championship, in which only six young storytellers across the country are selected to compete. Other notable recognitions she has received include the Mark of Excellence award from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Florida Magazine Association Charlie Award.

Through a creative use of all forms of storytelling — photos, data, public records and video — Chasity aims to produce compelling, meaningful and compassionate stories. She is passionate about supporting underserved communities and creating understandable and accessible articles for all audiences.
