Amanda Callahan
Amanda Callahan joined WFSB in August of 2024 as a Reporter, but she is no stranger to Connecticut. She moved here four years ago and is excited to be even more immersed in the community and tell your stories.
Before joining the team at Channel 3 Amanda worked at our sister station WGGB as the weekday morning anchor. She wore many hats since her start there in the fall of 2020 including Content Producer, Multimedia Journalist, and weekday morning Reporter. She also covered a wide range of stories from field anchoring at the Big E, covering the Boston Celtics Championship parade, and digging into repeat offenders in Springfield's record number of homicides in 2023.
Amanda is a proud Boston College Eagle where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and minor in Journalism in May 2020. She was also a member of the dance team.
During her time at BC, Amanda was an Anchor and Reporter at Newton News, the cable channel in Newton, MA.
Amanda spent two summers interning at WHDH-TV in Boston and was an intern at WCVB-TV in Boston; where she got the chance to learn roles across the newsroom and out in the field.
When not at work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Boston, going to the beach, and reading. If you have any story ideas or new spots in Connecticut to check out, let her know!
