Liz DeSantis joined the 14 News team in 2023. She is excited to be serving the Tri-State communities as a multimedia journalist.
A native of Memphis, TN, she graduated from Indiana University with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Middle Eastern Language and Culture.
Before joining the 14 News team, DeSantis worked as a production assistant for ABC News' World News Tonight with David Muir.
She also has served the central Indiana communities as an education and economy reporter and anchor at WTIU/WFIU News in Bloomington. Her work for WFIU appeared in National Public Radio, Lakeshore Public Radio, WFYI Indianapolis Public Radio and WVPE.
DeSantis worked on national investigative stories with USA Today and InvestigateTV as a reporter for the Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism.
She contributed to two second place national headliner award winning projects, including USA Today's "Title IX: Falling Short at 50" and Investigate TV's "Private Practice; Discipline for addicted physicians who relapse is often lenient, secretive."
DeSantis speaks Arabic, and when she's not working in the newsroom, she loves traveling, cooking, playing the flute and spoiling her dogs.
