Pickup truck driver survives being crushed under cement truck

JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM/Gray News) - The driver of a pickup truck survived after their truck was crushed under a cement truck.
Authorities responded to a crash on Highway 29 in Jones County, Mississippi, on Monday.
When firefighters arrived, they discovered a pickup truck rear-ended a cement truck.
The driver of the pickup was trapped inside and firefighters used hydraulic tools to extricate the driver.
Emergency aid was given to the driver and they were airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries.
The cement truck driver refused medical treatment and said they were not injured.
No other injuries were reported. The pickup sustained catastrophic front-end damage.
