Dems introduce emergency resolution for abortion care

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - A group of democratic congresswomen are introducing an emergency resolution to shore up EMTALA - or the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act.The law says doctors must do everything in their power to save the life of someone experiencing pregnancy complications.This summer, the Supreme Court was asked to clarify whether states with strict abortion bans still had to comply with EMTALA.Instead, they dismissed it.
