‘She touched so many lives’: Mom of 3 dies after being hit by car in front of restaurant
RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT/Gray News) - A mother of three in Mississippi died after she was hit by a car in front of a restaurant.
Officials said 41-year-old Marcie Errington was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in front of the Sunset Grill restaurant, WLBT reported.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Now, friends and family are mourning the loss of a woman, who they said, would have done anything for anyone.
“Marcie was outgoing, she was the life of everything she was. When you think of a Gypsy Soul, that’s what you think of as Marcie, she loved anything that breathed,” said Kelly Johnson, one of Erringont’s best friends
Johnson said Errington was a pediatric nurse and believes the 41-year-old would be touched to know that her reach extended far beyond her family and professional life.
“And all those babies were her babies. She has touched so many people, you know, even people, we had no idea that she even knew people that didn’t know her.”
The family is now accepting donations in partnership with Copiah Bank and GoFundMe.
According to Johnson, the funds are going to be used to help her three boys move forward.
“There’s a lot of bills and things that have, you know, accrued and you know, just life. It’s mainly to take care of those children to make sure they have what they need,” she said.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
