WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Thousands took to the streets around the U.S. Capitol Wednesday, to denounce the war in Gaza just as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a visit to Washington.

“We are here to stop the violence and to stop what Benjamin Netanyahu is doing,” said Patty Droogan.

“We have a war criminal speaking to Congress, and our tax dollars are being sent to kill innocent people in Palestine, and we’re standing up against that, because that does not stand up to our Constitution values,” said Sawsan Abubaker.

Some also criticized Congress for welcoming the prime minister.

“They need to be held accountable for what they’re doing and not embraced. I mean, how could you condone killing, killing and giving Israel not millions, but billions,” said Shirley Belton.

During Netanyahu’s address to Congress, he criticized protestors.

“Incredibly, many anti-Israel protesters, many choose to stand with evil. They stand with Hamas. They stand with rapists and murderers,” he said.
