7-year-old girl found dead in lake near her home

DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT/WSMV/Gray News) - The body of a missing girl with autism in Tennessee has been found in Douglas Lake, according to Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Coffey.
Serenity Kinsey, 7, was reported missing in Jefferson County around 5 a.m. Thursday after her family noticed she had left her home on Indian Creek Road in the night.
According to first responders, she could have left as early as 1 a.m.
Kinsey also reportedly liked water and lived near the lake.
Kinsey’s body was found by divers not far from her home, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, which also issued an Amber Alert for the girl Thursday morning.
