Man, 21, dies after being hit by 2 trucks while standing outside vehicle on interstate
MONROE, Ohio (WXIX/Gray News) - Ohio authorities say a man has died after he was hit by two trucks on Interstate 75 early Tuesday morning.
Ohio State Highway Patrol said they were called around 3 a.m. to a reported crash on Interstate 75 in Liberty Township.
Troopers said the collision occurred after a 2013 Mazda CX-5 stopped in the middle lanes of the roadway for an unknown reason.
Two people, one of them later identified as 21-year-old Damone Maston, got out of the car.
The 21-year-old from Dayton ended up being hit by a semitruck followed by a second truck, troopers said.
Highway Patrol said Maston died at the scene with the other man taken to Atrium Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said the crash remains under investigation.
