RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Today will be partly cloudy with wind gusts up to 35 mph at times. Temperatures will remain below average as high temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s for much of the area. It will become mostly sunny by the later afternoon hours.

Partly cloudy skies carry into Wednesday. A stray shower or storm will be possible in the afternoon and evening toward eastern Wyoming and Montana, possibly into northwest South Dakota. Highs will be in the 60s and 70s.

Cloudy skies move in early Thursday and stick around for much of the day. That’ll keep temperatures in the 60s for much of the area. Showers will be possible at times through the day with maybe a few rumbles of thunder.

Friday will return to the 70s in Rapid City with a few afternoon storms possible. Much warmer air builds over the weekend with 70s and 80s in place Saturday, climbing into the 80s by Sunday. Early next week temperatures could reach the 90s for many.
