Chilly tonight with a few record lows possible
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Skies are mostly clear overnight and winds are rather light, which will help temperatures drop overnight. Lows will range from the 30s to the 40s, in which some record low temperatures will be possible.
Temperatures will remain below average on Wednesday, and for the rest of the week. High temperatures will reach the 60s and 70s with a partly cloudy sky. A few isolated showers or storms will be possible across portions of northeast Wyoming, southeast Montana and northwest South Dakota by the late afternoon and evening hours.
Cloudy skies return Thursday as a few isolated showers or storms will be possible. Temperatures will be in the 60s for much of the area, with a few 70s in Wyoming, where there will be more sunshine. Friday will be mostly cloudy with a few showers and storms by the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s to end the week.
Warmer air returns over the weekend with highs climbing into the 80s for much of the area. Some spots may flirt with 90° by Sunday. Expect plenty of sunshine both days. Highs will reach the 90s early next week with 80s and 90s likely all week long.
