Senator Mike Rounds discusses data security with Apple partnership to OpenAI

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Apple announced its partnership with Open AI to add ChatGPT to its products. The announcement brought up concerns with AI policy in the US.

The AI policy roadmap is a document created by the bipartisan Senate AI working group that prioritizes innovation and risk of the budding technology.

Senator Mike Rounds is a member of that working group and says this partnership is exciting because the tech is being developed in the US, but admits there could be some concerns.

”That it is good news that it is being developed here. The challenge is how do we stay ahead of it?” Rounds said.

Because the technology is such a new infrastructure data security becomes a challenge but this isn’t a new problem. Rounds says the best way to protect your data is to keep your devices updated to ensure the best performance and security.
