WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WVUE/Gray News) - A woman and a teenager were injured in back-to-back shark attacks near a popular tourist beach in Florida, according to multiple reports.

Both incidents were near 30A, which is a popular strip of beaches.

The first incident was reported around 1 p.m. near Watersound Way, which is between Panama City Beach and Miramar Beach.

Deputies said the woman was injured and taken to a hospital, WVUE reported.

Her identity and condition have not been released.

A witness posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the attack allegedly happened while he and his children were body surfing in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Lots of blood in the water,” the witness described. “It’s not good.”

The second incident was reported around 3:25 p.m. near Shoreline Drive. Officials say there were multiple reports that a teenager was injured.

The beach was closed to the public in Walton County while the investigations continued.
