Mostly Sunny with a Possible Isolated Storm Saturday
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Temperatures tonight make it into the 40s across much of the region. Tomorrow is the Crazy Horse Volksmarch with the event drawing some nice temperatures in the 50s to start off the hike and 60s to end it. A few isolated storms are possible into the afternoon but a generally sunny day is expected. Futurecast is showing that there is a possibility of some of those storms, generally into south central South Dakota tomorrow afternoon, but storm chances start to increase by the time we are closing out the weekend. There is a risk for some severe weather both tomorrow and for Sunday. There is a slight to marginal risk each day, depending where you are. SW SD seeing the marginal risk tomorrow, the Plains seeing a slight risk tomorrow and the marginal risk Sunday. Overnight tonight, temperatures make it into the 40s for almost everyone with skies clearing and staying that way for much of the night. Winds will be generally calm throughout the night. Tomorrow, temperatures make it into the 70s by the afternoon with mostly sunny skies throughout the day. Isolated storms are possible, but not likely throughout the afternoon. If there are some storms, some could drop some larger hail. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows the possibility of storms in the Hills on Sunday with temperatures making it into the 80s for everyone by the start of next week. Rapid City seeing thunderstorms possible both Sunday and Tuesday with 80s possible on Monday. 70s stick around for much of next week.
