Cole Younger could face death penalty for the alleged murder of Brandi Snowfly

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Cole Younger was back in court Thursday. The thirty-five-year-old is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery.

Younger is accused of stabbing forty-one-year-old Brandi Snowfly to death on Sunday and allegedly carjacking a rideshare driver at knifepoint at the Rodeway Inn in Rapid City.

If convicted, Younger faces life in prison or the death penalty for the murder charge and twenty-five years in state prison for the robbery charge. The prosecution presented evidence to the court that bloody shoe prints and a knife were found in a hotel room. The judge set a no-contact order for Younger and no bond. His next court date has not been determined.
