Wildfire smoke from fires in Canada is impacting the region
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Fires are burning in northern British Columbia and other nearby provinces and the current pattern is ushering in some of that smoke into the region. This will impact air quality for the next day or two. Use caution if you are someone who is sensitive to wildfire smoke in the air.
Temperatures will remain warm going into next week with highs likely in the 70s on Monday. A few showers and storms are expected in the afternoon hours across Wyoming and parts of western South Dakota. These storms will continue Monday night and into Tuesday. Temperatures will drop into the 60s and 70s on Tuesday. The showers will help push much of the smoke out of the region.
A few storms will be possible on Wednesday, too. Temperatures will be in the 60s for many. We return to the 70s for the end of the week, but it will get a little breezy starting Tuesday and the wind sticks around into next weekend.
