Showery, cool weather in the forecast through Thursday.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Showery, cool weather is in the forecast today as low pressure moves back south and southeast across the northern plains. Some snow showers will mix in over the higher Black Hills and Big Horns.

More showers are possible Thursday, with even an isolated thundershower possible, then drier air moves in and we clear out nicely just in time for the Mother’s Day Weekend.

Temperatures will be significantly warmer this weekend as high pressure builds in from the west. Expect 70s Saturday and Sunday.

Warm 70s linger into next week, but we will see a chance of isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday - nothing widespread, though.
