Gov. Noem’s book unavailable on Sioux Falls shelves
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Gov. Kristi Noem’s latest book “No Going Back” — which has received backlash over an excerpt that details the killing of her 14-month-old dog and inaccurate accounts of meetings with world leaders — was released today.
Local readers may have a hard time finding a physical copy of the memoir.
In January, Gov. Noem revealed plans for her latest book, but if you’re looking to score your own copy in Sioux Falls this week, you may be out of luck.
Dakota News Now staff went to several major retailers looking for the book and left empty-handed, with retail management saying we could place an online order for “Not Going Back.”
Last week, the Governor’s office responded to several errors that were in the book.
At the time, Noem’s office said those errors had been communicated with the book’s ghostwriter and editor.
They included an unverified meeting with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un.
A Noem spokesperson told us this excerpt should not have been included in the book.
Their statement goes on to say that future editions of the memoir will be corrected.
Dakota News Now has reached out to Noem’s office for comment and for an interview about the new book and are waiting for a response.
Audible.com — which offers audiobooks for purchase — does have Noem’s latest release available for download.
