RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Don’t forget this Mother’s Day weekend at Reptile Gardens, Moms get in free Saturday and Sunday with a minimum of three cans per person donation to the KOTA Care and Share Food Drive.

For those that don’t know, Reptile Gardens is one of the largest collections of reptiles in the world housing any scaly creature you can think of from alligators and snakes to lizards and geckos, but that’s not all they do.

Right now, Reptile Gardens is running snake shows where visitors will get to see the reptiles up close and even get the chance to touch some of them.

Looking toward the future, this summer, Reptile Gardens will have an alligator show giving visitors that same chance but with swamp beasts instead of snakes.

“It’s one of the things we pride ourselves in our here is to have as much as many hands-on activities as we can for everyone so at the end of the gator show people have the opportunity to pet a gator and at the end of the snake show an opportunity to pet a snake and so on,” John Brockelsby said.

For those interested in checking out the Gator Show, it starts on May 27 with a daily show.

Sunday, Mother’s Day you can get to the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs for free with a minimum donation of three non-perishable food items per person. This weekend show mom how special she is and help the KOTA Care and Share Food Drive.
