WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Before today’s trial got underway, Judge Juan Merchan fined Trump $1,000 and warned him that he would “have to consider a jail sanction” if Trump continues to violate court orders – orders that Trump considers unfair.

Much of Monday’s testimony focused on the paper trail. The former corporate controller for the Trump Organization, Jeffrey McConney, testified about reimbursement payments to attorney Michael Cohen and how they were entered in the accounting system.
