RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Expect mostly sunny skies today with breezy conditions. Temperatures will remain below average with highs in the 40s. Normally our highs should be in the 50s this time of year.

Temperatures will stay in the 40s Friday and Saturday with partly cloudy skies expected. In fact, Friday might be just a bit cooler as a reinforcing shot of cold air moves south out of Canada. Friday will be breezy, while the wind on Saturday will be a bit lighter.

Warmer air returns Sunday and into next week. Highs will reach the 50s and 60s Sunday through Tuesday, while temperatures jump into the 60s and 70s the rest of the week. Plenty of sunshine is expected, but there could be some afternoon shower and storm chances the second half of next week but nothing widespread.
