AVON, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) - Police say an 18-year-old playing a game of tag using squirt guns fell and hit his head while trying to jump onto a car. He died at the hospital.

Police say officers were called to Crown Colony Drive in Avon, Ohio, around 3:40 p.m. Saturday for a report of a car vs. a pedestrian. Upon arrival, they found a woman performing CPR on an 18-year-old man, according to a police report.

The young man was taken to the hospital, where he died around 5:30 p.m., the report says.

According to WOIO, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 18-year-old as Paul Allen.

Police say Allen and the driver of the vehicle knew each and were involved in a game of tag using squirt guns. The driver was returning home when Allen approached him from his driveway, according to the report.
