RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Rapid City Regional Airport announced plans to increase parking rates beginning July 1. The P2 lot, which is closer to the terminal, would see increased daily rates from $14 to $18 and the P1 lot rates would increase from $10 to $12. Hourly rates of $2 would remain the same. Rapid City Council will need to approve these changes before they go into effect.

This rate increase comes as part of the airport’s efforts to remain competitive with similarly-sized airports such as those in Green Bay, Wisconsin ... South Bend, Indiana and New Haven, Connecticut. Each of those airports charge higher daily minimum rates than the proposed increased rates at Rapid City Regional Airport. Estimated additional annual revenue from these increases is north of $600,000, and parking lot expansions are expected to be included in the airport’s 2025 budget.
