Strong winds expected Wednesday
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - A weak disturbance will push through the northern plains. Isolated showers will be possible tonight into tomorrow. The main factor will be strong winds. Gusts up to 50 mph will be likely at times from Spearfish to Rapid City and areas to the north and east. A Wind Advisory will go into effect at 10 a.m. Wednesday and last through 7 p.m.
Conditions will clear up going into Thursday and the rest of the week with plenty of sunshine on tap. Temperatures will stay in the 50s for many Thursday, but it is possible we reach 70° for the first time this year on Friday. By Saturday, we will flirt with 80°!
It will stay mild Sunday with highs in the 60s and 70s, but temperatures will gradually drop going into next week with highs in the 50s and 60s Monday, falling into the 40s and 50s the rest of next week. There could be another disturbance to pass by next week, with some moisture and strong winds possible. Stay tuned.
