CLEVELAND (WOIO/Gray News) - Babies in the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are prepared for Monday’s total solar eclipse.
Staff changed the babies into solar eclipse-themed onesies and placed eye covers referencing that of solar eclipse glasses.
“Their eye covers aren’t the official glasses for viewing the solar eclipse, but they do protect their eyes from light used during certain therapy treatments in the NICU,” the hospital said.
The next U.S. coast-to-coast eclipse will happen in 2044, but the newborns will be 75 years old the next time Ohio will see a total solar eclipse in 2099.
