UNION COUNTY, Ky. (WFIE/Gray News) – A family of five in Kentucky was trapped inside their mobile home Tuesday after storms caused the home to flip over.

The severe thunderstorms moved through parts of the state on Tuesday morning.

WFIE crews on scene said the trapped family consisted of two adults and three children.

Two of the three children were reportedly pinned under the home.

According to officials, no one was seriously hurt.

Residents in the area believe a tornado may have touched down, but that has not been officially confirmed yet.

Pictures show a car was also pinned underneath the flipped-over home.

Several snapped trees and other pieces of debris were scattered in the area as well.

The Union County Emergency Management Agency said at least 35 homes were damaged in Uniontown and Sullivan.

On Tuesday afternoon, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency after the severe storms swept through the area.
