One More Chilly Day, Then Warming Up through Thursday
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Tonight, temperatures get fairly cold with single digits expected across almost the entire viewing area. Good news is that we are going to be seeing clearing skies and that will help those temperatures get cold. Tomorrow, sunshine is finally back in the forecast with temperatures still a little chilly. I think Rapid City will get to around the 30 degree mark tomorrow afternoon. That sunshine is looking to stick around as we are seeing just that on futurecast. A few clouds may mix in over the course of the next couple of days, but the sunshine is the more prominent thing. Heading into the overnight hours, we will see temperatures take a drastic fall with single digits becoming widespread across the area. A few spots may even fall to at or below zero early tomorrow morning, but the good news is that we are going to be seeing clearing skies throughout the overnight hours. Tomorrow, mostly sunny skies remain in the Black Hills region with temperatures staying on the chilly side with 30s and 20s expected for afternoon high temperatures. Some folks in southwestern South Dakota may see temperatures reach the low 40s. Sunshine fills the next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills as temperatures begin their climb. 50s and 60s are expected heading into the latter portion of the week with plenty of sunshine to go around. Rapid City seeing that same sunshine, but temperatures reach the 60s by Thursday. Friday we are back near average with the weekend having the possibility of bringing in our next system. Colder temperatures take over for the weekend.
