FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) - Authorities in Ohio reported a missing 15-year-old girl has been found safe after they say her boyfriend allegedly abducted her.

The Amber Alert issued for Kaylee Cope was canceled Saturday afternoon after the teenager was found safe.

The search for Cope began Friday night when officials believe 17-year-old Jeffery Gimenez abducted her, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Grove City police later confirmed on Facebook that Gimenez and Cope were in a relationship.

Grove City police confirmed Gimenez is in custody. Prior to Cope’s abduction, Gimenez was wanted out of Pickaway County for robbery and also has warrants for previously kidnapping Cope.
