House Republicans: “Bidenomics” is adding debt and taking money away from families
WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - The White House credits President Biden’s bottom up, middle out economic vision for boosting jobs and the market. But Republicans attending the Issues Conference in West Virginia said the president’s economic plan is holding the country back. '
“Whether it’s pumping gas at the gas station or when you pay your household electricity bill, people know they are paying too much because of the far-left agenda,” Majority Leader Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA).
Fellow Louisiana native Speaker Mike Johnson said GOP initiatives are saving American’s dollars.
“(The House) passed a bipartisan tax package to help American families and small businesses,” Johnson said. “It ends the wasteful Covid-era programs of spending taxpayer billions. Cuts red tape for small businesses and expands on the wins of the Trump Era tax cuts.”
Chairman of the House Budget Committee Congressman Jodey Arrington said “Bidenomics” is pushing the country further into debt. The Texas Congressman says a stronger workforce is needed.
“Work incentives to get people out of the government dependance trap,” Rep. Jodey Arrington said (R-TX). “And tap into their god given talents with common sense work requirements. Patching up all of the loopholes and workarounds for work capable healthy people.”
Congresswoman Carol Miller from the host state of West Virginia says she’s baffled by Biden’s economic plan.
“Joe Biden should be embarrassed by these numbers,” Rep. Carol Miller (R-WV). “We’ve increased prices 18 percent since he came. Wages have fallen about four percent. Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
¾ of Americans say strengthening the economy is a top priority according to Pew Research.
