Sunshine Returning Just in Time for a Weekend Warm Up
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Tonight, a few flurries may remain, especially into Southwestern South Dakota, while others will see mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures fall into the low 20s again in town. Tomorrow, the 40s are making their return as a warm up is knocking at our doorstep. Sunshine will be moving in full force by the time we get to the afternoon and evening hours. Futurecast is showing clouds and snow moving out of the area by the time we get to tomorrow morning. Clearing continues throughout the day tomorrow with sunshine returning in full force by the time we start our weekend on Saturday. Sunday, a few high clouds begin to move through, but skies remain mostly sunny. Warmer temperatures will be sticking around the Black Hills as we head into the middle of next week, extending through the end of next week with above average temperatures looking increasingly likely. Overnight tonight, we are going to see cooler temperatures as teens and 20s dominate the map. Teens likely are going to stay north of I-90 and in the Black Hills. A few snow flurries may remain in Southwestern South Dakota tonight with everyone else seeing mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures start their warm up into the day tomorrow where we will be reaching the 40s across much of the area. A few spots in the Black Hills will stay in the upper 30s. Skies become sunny by the afternoon and evening hours. The next three days in NE Wyoming shows that we are going to be seeing temperatures on the rise getting to the 60s in Sheridan by Saturday, most others get to the 60s by Sunday or Monday. Rapid City will see 60s both for Sunday and Monday as temperatures remain above average for the entirety of next week with plenty of sunshine. A few showers are possible Wednesday afternoon. Remember to set your clocks forward Saturday night as Daylight Saving Time starts. We lose an hour of sleep this weekend, but sunset times finally increase in the afternoon.
