Flurries Possible Thursday; Warmer This Weekend
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Temperatures fall to around the freezing mark in Rapid City but at times, it could be a little breezy with winds up to 20 mph. Tomorrow, temperatures make it back into the 40s for highs with winds out of the north around 10 to 20 mph. Futurecast is showing that we are seeing the possibility of a few showers in SW SD, but the majority of the moisture will likely stay in Nebraska. Thursday, some moisture will lift into the Northern Hills. NW SD, NE WY, and SE MT. Flurries are possible in those locations throughout the day Thursday. Friday, clouds start to gradually clear, starting in the morning. Warmer temperatures are on the horizon for the Black Hills as well above average temperatures start to settle into the area. Next week is looking to stay on the warmer side. Overnight tonight, temperatures dip into the 30s for much of the region, but a few spots will likely see the 20s. Mostly clear skies but variable winds at 10 to 20 mph could create some breezy times. Tomorrow, we will see temperatures make it back into the 40s for much of the area, but a few spots in the Hills and SE MT will see temperatures stay in the 30s. Some clouds will stick around throughout the day with some peaks of sun. The next three days across NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills showing that we are going to see the chance for some light snow showers Thursday with the sunshine returning by Friday. Temperatures continue to warm into the weekend in Rapid City with 50s expected for the entire weekend and even 60s possible during the day Monday.
