Spring-like Temperatures Return Before a Breezy Weekend
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Mostly clear skies are expected for the overnight hours as temperatures won’t get as cold as they did last night. 29 is the low temperature in Rapid City. Tomorrow, another completely sunny day is upon us in Rapid City. Temperatures are back to a spring like feel across the area. Futurecast is showing lots of sunshine over the course of the next 24 hours. A few clouds enter the Black Hills region as we get to Friday morning, but some showers become possible as we head into the evening of Friday. A few rain and snow showers are possible as we head into the early morning hours of Saturday. Winds also become an issue as we head towards the weekend. Friday, winds start to pick up with up to 40 mph gusts possible throughout the day Friday. Those breezy conditions continue through the day Saturday and Sunday. Tonight, temperatures drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s as mostly clear skies start to settle in. Those clouds exit the area as we head towards daybreak with temperatures feeling like the middle of spring. 50s are likely for everyone with the possibility of a few locations even getting into the 60s. The next three days across NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows that we are going to be seeing temperatures start to top out on Friday. Rain chances increase for Spearfish, Deadwood and Sheridan by Saturday. Temperatures drop off as we head into the latter portion of the weekend but we are back into the 40s by midweek next week.
