WOODBURY, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - A suspected meth-dealing minister in Connecticut was arrested again, this time for failing to appear in court, according to state police.

Herbert Irving Miller, 63, was arrested on a warrant for first-degree failure to appear after Woodbury constables said they saw him riding in the passenger seat of a U-Haul truck in town on Monday.

He was given a court date of Tuesday in Waterbury and a $100,000 surety court-set bond that he was unable to post.

Miller, who had been appointed to the Woodbury United Methodist Church in July, was first arrested on Feb. 9 after he was spotted driving a vehicle with a suspended registration, state police said.

During this traffic stop, he was found to have in his possession crystal methamphetamine in both rock form and liquified into a hypodermic needle prepared for injection, authorities said.

He was charged with various drug and motor vehicle violations.

Miller has since been removed from the church’s website.
