Body recovered from a culvert in North Rapid

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - On Monday night a body was recovered from a culvert on the intersection of North Lacrosse and East Waterloo streets in Rapid City.
An autopsy was performed and revealed that the body recovered had significant decomposition.
As of right now, additional testing will be done to identify the person and the circumstances of the death.
Police were called to the area late Monday afternoon, on reports that a body was discovered in a culvert. It was found when the city was conducting a routine inspection of an under-road culvert when the body was found.
