Man killed in ‘serious incident’ at UPS Worldport facility
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) – Officials in Kentucky are investigating a workplace incident that happened at the UPS Worldport facility Thursday.
Louisville Regional Airport Authority Police and Fire units responded to the facility on Grade Lane on a report of a man being hit by a vehicle around 4:30 p.m., Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson John Bradley said.
Authorities said the man who was hit was pronounced dead on scene.
A spokesperson for UPS provided the following statement:
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of an individual today at Worldport. Our thoughts are with his family.”
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is handling the ongoing investigation.
Bradley said no foul play is suspected.
