RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Temperatures will fall into the 20s across much of the area tonight. This may allow some of the wet roadways to freeze over and become slippery. Use caution tonight and for your morning commute Friday.

A few snow showers will linger Friday, mainly in northwest South Dakota. Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy at times, with overcast conditions for much of northwest South Dakota. Temperatures will be in the 30s to near 40°.

Another band of snow showers will enter northeast Wyoming Friday night and slide into southwest South Dakota, including parts of the Black Hills, on Saturday. Light accumulations are possible with a dusting to an inch, but isolated spots could pick up close to 2″ if a band of snow develops and remains stationary. Highs will be in the 30 for many.

Sunshine will return Sunday with warmer air moving in. Highs will climb into the 40s for many. We will stay mild for the first half of next week as highs will likely be in the 40s, but cooler temperatures are expected to return late next week.
