WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - President Joe Biden walked away from the South Carolina Democratic primary with a resounding victory on Saturday. South Carolina voters gave Biden his first primary win in 2020. This year, the Democratic Party had its first in the nation primary in the Palmetto State as an effort to elevate black voices early in the election cycle. On Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris said Black voters are a big reason why she’s in office and why the Democratic party is focused on their concerns and voices. “How South Carolina voters are doing is an indication on how the rest of the country is doing,” Harris said. South Carolina democrats say the gravity of 2024 presidential election is tremendous.

“We’re in the middle of a whole lot of crisis right now,” Diane Abney-Smith said. “We, as a Black folk, need to remember that this is one of the most important elections we have coming up. Not only for our lives, safety, sanity and peace of mind. Diane Abney-Smith has been voting for more than 40 years. She wants to see more younger faces at the polls. “They need to be here in droves, Abney-Smith said. “I don’t care what they have going.” “If you don’t cast your vote you don’t really have a voice,” Yasmine Bradshaw said. “You might have an opinion but don’t actively assert your voice. The conflict in (the Middle East), It’s really a bigger topic as nations (pledge) their support one way or another.”The South Carolina Democratic primary is the beginning of the road for the Biden-Harris administration to remain in the White House.
