Expect mild weather to continue for a while

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Areas of dense fog will return to the South Dakota plains overnight. Temperatures will fall into the 20s for many, with some spots along the foothills near 30°. Skies will be mostly clear for those not experiencing fog.

Areas of clouds will pass through the area during the morning hours Wednesday, but skies should become mostly sunny by the afternoon. Highs will be in the 40s for many with a couple of spots flirting with 50°.

Many spots will start off mostly sunny Thursday morning, but clouds will be increasing form west to east through the day. Highs will stay in the 40s for everyone. Clouds stick around Thursday night into Friday morning, but it will become mostly sunny for much of Friday with highs in the 40s once again.

Warmer air will be moving in through the weekend with highs Saturday near 50°, but by Sunday temperatures will be in the mid 50s. Highs will be in the 50s for much of next week with a couple days looking like they could reach 60° or a little warmer!
