Rising Star of the West Scholarship Contest entry deadline extended

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - The entry deadline for the 18th annual Rising Star of the West Scholarship Contest has been extended by one week to Sunday January 21st.

This year’s contest features a total of $7,500 in scholarships from KEVN Black Hills FOX and Monument Health. The winner will receive a $4,000 college scholarship.

To enter, just send us a short video of yourself talking about anything important to you. We’ll pick our 20 contestants from that group and they’re record commentaries in our studio and those will be aired on our news and placed online for viewers to rate.
