Representative Kristi Noem spent time in the southern hills Thursday afternoon discussing with veterans a plan for how to "support and engage them like never before."

Representative Noem made her way to the States Veteran Home this afternoon to meet with some of the state's heroes and unveil Operation: Rally Point.

This is her plan to push education, employment, and benefits for veterans so that they can have better access to federal funding, apprenticeships and job skills, and a job that will pay them well to quote "live out their dreams."

Noem says she is fortunate to be representing and serving in a state that is so devoted to those who have served.

"That's something that this administration is very interested in, that we can be a pilot project for the nation and so they're looking forward to strong leadership from South Dakota that catches that vision, wants to be and do these things pilot projects on how to better serve veterans, how to better serve veterans how to better support economic development into the future and I'm excited about that for our state," Noem said.

Noem says she is also focusing on encouraging the young generation to serve by showing the older generation that they are appreciated.
