‘Come see us’: Deputies ask owner to claim drugs found during Helene cleanup

DAVISBORO, Ga. (Gray News) - A sheriff’s office found drugs during Helene cleanup and wants to return the items to their owner.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said deputies found the drugs while clearing off Highway 231 near Washington State Prison in Davisboro, Georgia.

Authorities said they found marijuana, prescription medication and THC-infused candy.

“If you would like to claim ownership of these packages, please come see us,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
