Krabby Patties coming to Wendy’s in honor of 25th anniversary of ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’
(Gray News) – Wendy’s is celebrating the 25th birthday of an iconic cartoon character.
The Nickelodeon show “SpongeBob SquarePants” is celebrating its 25th anniversary. To commemorate the event, Wendy’s plans to serve a famous food item from the show: Krabby Patties.
In a Wednesday release, the fast food company said it is partnering with Paramount to launch Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab, which includes a Krabby Patty Kollab burger and a Pineapple under the Sea Frosty.
Longtime “SpongeBob SquarePants” fans will finally be able to get a taste of the “secret formula” that made the Krabby Patty such a legendary snack in the original cartoon.
Wendy’s take on the Krabby Patty recipe includes a quarter pound of Wendy’s fresh and never frozen beef, along with two slices of American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, and a top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce on a toasted bun. Extra care will be provided to make sure pickles are included.
The accompanying Frosty is an original Vanilla Frosty featuring a Pineapple Mango flavored puree swirl.
The commemorative food items can be found at Wendy’s restaurants in the United States, Canada and Guam starting on Oct. 8.
