16-year-old thrown from truck bed and killed, another teen injured

NEW LONDON, Iowa (KWQC/Gray News) – A 16-year-old was killed Friday night when he was thrown from a truck bed in Iowa.
According to a crash report from Iowa State Patrol, a Ford F-350 was heading down Cleveland Street when it took an abrupt turn.
When the truck turned, two teens were thrown from the bed of the truck, officials said.
Gavin Browning, 16, died at the scene, the crash report stated.
The other 16-year-old was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries and released the next day.
No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
