AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA/Gray News) – A Texas woman is accused of putting the blame on her 14-year-old son after police said she distributed meth.

Elizabeth Galindo is facing federal drug charges for distributing meth after a drive-by shooting investigation led to multiple arrests.

Court documents say on Sept. 17, multiple agencies were investigating several drive-by shootings and obtained a search warrant for a home in Amarillo in connection with the shootings.

While searching the home, officials found several firearms, ammunition and containers of meth throughout the house.

When interviewing Galindo, she denied consent to search her phone because she said it had messages and photos involving selling drugs. She claimed the messages were sent by her 14-year-old son.

Police obtained a warrant and searched the phone, where they found pictures and videos of Galindo handling meth.

Officials said they also found messages of Galindo actively distributing meth.

Four others have been arrested in association with the investigation.
