KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) - Travis Kelce will be in “Happy Gilmore 2.”

Adam Sandler shared the news with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” Tuesday.

“We have a nice something for Travis,” Sandler said. “He’s gonna come by, and he’s cool. A very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”

Kelce had previously expressed an interest in appearing in the sequel.

“I didn’t even know there was a job opening on ‘Happy Gilmore 2.’ I’ll be a f*****g extra. Anything to get around ‘Happy Gilmore,’ an Adam Sandler film or set — count me in,” Kelce said on his "New Heights podcast" in May.

Netflix has not yet announced a “Happy Gilmore 2″ release date.

Kelce is already making a name for himself in entertainment.

He is making his first major acting appearance in the new FX horror series “Grotesquerie,” which will debut Sept. 25.

Kelce will also host the new game show “Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?”

Variety also reported that Kelce is in talks to lead the action-comedy “Loose Cannons” at Lionsgate.
