WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Republican Vice Presidential nominee J.D. Vance introduced himself to Americans in a prime-time speech on Wednesday’s night three of the Republican National Convention.

A freshman Ohio Senator, Vance delivered the biggest speech of his life tonight, making his case for Republicans to take back the White House.

As the crowd chanted “J.D.! J.D.! J.D,” Vance introduced himself to the RNC as a man from a small town in Ohio where people built with their hands and spoke their minds.

“I stand here humbled and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to say I officially accept your nomination to be Vice President of the United States of America,” he said.

Top Republican voices said Vance will help boost the GOP ticket for president.

Kevin McCarthy, former Speaker of the House, touted Vance’s youth and background. “A millennial. He served in the Marines. Raised by a grandparent. The struggles that he had, ended up going through. Writing a best seller. Tapping into many of the voices who feel they’ve been left behind,” said McCarthy.

“I think he was absolutely just an excellent choice and I can’t wait to watch the debates with Kamala Harris,” said Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY).

The night three theme of “Make America Strong Once Again” focused on changes the GOP wants to make in foreign policy.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) outlined the party’s priorities. “The weakness that we’re projecting on the world stage, and certainly that open border, which has created a catastrophe around the country. We know how to fix each of those things, and we need to get that started immediately,” he said.

Republicans said America needs to give Israel stronger support in its war against Hamas, less support for Ukraine in its war against Russia, and present a strong front against China.

“Strength preserves peace, and weakness invites war,” said Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC). She went on, “We can never project strength around the world when weakness stands in the White House.”

Former President Donald Trump will deliver the keynote speech for night four, where the theme will be “Make America Great Once Again.”
