Lead Police Department investigating 2 deaths

LEAD, S.D. (KEVN) - The Lead Police Department and EMS were called to a residence on June 26, for a male needing assistance.

The 37-year-old male Lead resident died at the scene.

The next day, June 27, Lead police and EMS were called to a different residence in Lead, also for a male needing assistance. During this investigation, Lead police reported that the male had been present at the June 26 incident.

The second man, a 44-year-old male Lead resident, also died at the scene.

These incidents remain open investigations led by the Lead Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and Lawrence County Coroner’s Office.
