Rapid City crews continue to repair water line break

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - A water main break in Rapid City is impacting water service and traffic along a stretch of Deadwood Avenue.

Crews responded to the water line break this afternoon.

Water service has been restored tonight to all but one business, and repair work is expected to continue starting Thursday at 7 am.

Businesses on both sides of Deadwood Avenue from Cement Plant Street will be without water service while crews continue to repair that work.

The northbound outside lane of Deadwood Avenue will be closed from Cement Plant Road for 400 feet to the north as crews work on the impacted area.

Drivers are being advised to use caution when driving in the area.

There is no timeline for when repairs will be completed.
